LEGENDAKAR, LA NOVITA’ DI FASCINO DI RALLYLEGEN D 2024

Venticinque regine d’Africa e un pugno di campioni leggendari e guidarle e raccontarle. È la nuova, fantastica proposta di Rallylegend, con “LegenDakar”. Una esclusiva rassegna statica e dinamica sulla storia della iconica maratona africana, con Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt e Miki Biasion.

Una collana di perle. Africane. Come la Dakar. Anche se oggi Dakar significa anche tracciati sudamericani e arabi, senza perdere granché del suo fascino originario.
La stessa attrattiva che Rallylegend eserciterà con LegenDakar, venticinque splendide regine d’Africa che raccontano la storia di una gara epica. La racconteranno insieme alla viva voce di alcuni dei grandi dominatori di una gara spesso al limite delle possibilità umane. Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt e Miki Biasion sono quattro veri monumenti della Dakar. E saranno a San Marino non solo per parlare delle loro grandi vittorie, ma anche per guidare di nuovo quelle vetture dagli allestimenti iconici e i mitici fuoristrada su un percorso dedicato da Rallylegend e sulla The Legend.
Sarà questo il momento clou di LegenDakar: la Dakar Stage. Venerdì’ 11 ottobre alle ore 15:30, le vetture della Legend Dakar usciranno dal Rallylegend Village “in colonna” per dirigersi ad Acquaviva dove alle ore 15:45 effettueranno un passaggio in parata su un tratto sterrato di 2 km. Imperdibile. Al termine i partecipanti rientreranno a Rally Village per il talk show dedicato, con tutti i grandi protagonisti presenti.
Saranno poi altre le occasioni di vederle all’opera, a più riprese, sulla “The Legend” , mentre la mostra statica a Rally Village sarà permanente.
Due dozzine di meravigliose vetture “dakariane” sono state radunate dalla ricerca approfondita di Vito Piarulli. Un omaggio ad un mito parallelo a quello dell’epopea dei rally. Coprendo un arco temporale che segue l’evoluzione dei mezzi per le gare africane e che, a Rallylegend, si dipana dalla Porsche 953 Rothmans del 1984, quella del quarto posto di Jacky Ickx che la guiderà a San Marino, fino alla vincitrice più recente, l’avveniristica Audi RS Q e-tron trionfatrice con Carlos Sainz Sr e Luca Cruz. Ari Vatanen ritroverà le Peugeot e le Citroen dei suoi trionfi. Delle tre vittorie consecutive dal 1989 al 1991. Con la Peugeot 405 T16 GR “vestita” Pioneer, poi Camel e con la Citroen ZX ancora in livrea Camel, tutte presenti a Rallylegend, in mostra e in azione. Con Jutta Kleinschmidt, LegenDakar si apre al capitolo Mitsubishi, altra icona della gara africana. E la pilota tedesca, una delle poche ad avere affrontato la maratona africana anche in moto è l’unica donna ad averla vinta, nel 2001. A San Marino ritroverà proprio la Mitsubishi Pajero del suo trionfo. Non ha partecipato alla Dakar, ma gareggia nei rally la modella ucraina Inessa Tushkanova che sarà al volante di una Mitsubishi Pajero T2 ex Dakar assistance 2005, vettura gemella di quella che piloterà Carlo Boroli.
Sono tante altre le vetture che si potranno vedere a Rallylegend e che, ben difficilmente si potranno rivedere, tutte insieme, in altre occasioni. Per cui non si può perdere LegenDakar.
Ci sarà la Mitsubishi Pajero di Pierre Lartigue nella Dakar 1988, la Mercedes G280 del 1989 colorata Chesterfield di Clay Regazzoni, poi ancora Porsche 911 Dakar, due potenti camion Man, altri Mitsubishi Pajero, tra cui l’MPR51 del 1996, che hanno segnato varie epoche della gara africana, la Pandakar della Dakar 2007 di Miki Biasion. E tante altre ancora, che scoprirete, con stupore, a Rallylegend. A LegenDakar.

LEGENDAKAR, THE EXCITING NEW INITIATIVE AT RALLYLEGEND 2024

Twenty-five queens of Africa and a handful of legendary champions who will drive them and talk about them. Introducing the fantastic new Rallylegend initiative that is “LegenDakar”. An exclusive static and dynamic exposition on the history of the iconic African marathon, featuring Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt and Miki Biasion.

A string of pearls. African. Like the Dakar. Even though the Dakar now also takes in South American and Arabian routes, it has lost little of its original appeal.
The same attraction that Rallylegend will tap into with LegenDakar, where twenty-five beautiful African queens will tell the story of an epic race that tasks its competitors with pushing to the limits of what is humanly possible. They will be joined by some of the ‘pillars’ of Dakar, not least Jacky Ickx, Ari Vatanen, Jutta Kleinschmidt and Miki Biasion, who will be in San Marino not only to talk about their great victories, but to be reunited with those cars, with their iconic trims, as they drive them around a dedicated Rallylegend route and The Legend stage.
This will be the highlight of LegenDakar: the Dakar Stage. On Friday 11 October at 3.30pm, the Legend Dakar vehicles will leave Rallylegend Village, single file, and head for Acquaviva where, at 3.45pm they will complete a parade lap around a 2km section of dirt track. An event not to be missed. Once completed, the participants will return to Rally Village for the dedicated talk show, starring all the big names in attendance.
There will be other opportunities to see these classic cars up close, around “The Legend” track or in the static exhibition located in Rally Village for the duration of the event.
Two dozen wonderful ‘dakarian’ vehicles identified and brought together by Vito Piarulli and that trace the evolution of the cars used in the African races, from the 1984 Porsche 953 Rothmans that placed fourth with Jacky Ickx, and who will drive it in San Marino, to the most recent winner, the futuristic Audi RS Q e-tron that triumphed with Carlos Sainz Sr. and Luca Cruz. Ari Vatanen will be reunited with the Peugeot and Citroen with which he won three consecutive editions from 1989 to 1991, specifically the Pioneer-branded Peugeot 405 T16 GR, later Camel, and the Citroen ZX also with Camel livery, all in action at Rallylegend. With Jutta Kleinschmidt, LegenDakar showcases the Mitsubishi, another icon of the African race. One of few women to have taken on the African marathon also on two wheels and the only woman to have won it, in 2001, the German driver will be reunited with her winning Mitsubishi Pajero in San Marino. Ukrainian model Inessa Tushkanova may not have competed in the Dakar, but she does compete in rally races and will be at the wheel of a Mitsubishi Pajero T2 former Dakar assistance 2005, identical to the car that will be driven by Carlo Boroli.
Many other vehicles will be on display at Rallylegend, the likes and combination of which you are unlikely to see anywhere else, which is why LegenDakar is not to be missed.
