Kessel Racing takes 100th global victory for the Ferrari 296 GT3 

At the first round of the Asian Le Mans Series at the Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia), the Kessel Racing-run Car Guy Ferrari delivered a key milestone, reaching a historic 100th race victory for the Ferrari 296 GT3, when the number 57 won the four-hour race on Saturday.

Dustin Blattner made a strong sta rt in the #74 into Saturday´s race, moving up from lower positions to take the lead in the GT class after about one hour of racing. Yudai Uchida in the #57 Car Guy Ferrari had a challenging moment, with some contact with another competitor, but showed impressive recovery skills to climb back up to 5th place.

In the second half of the race, Esteban Masson, driving the #57 Ferrari, passed the sister car, showing excellent pace. Ben Tuck served a drive-through penalty but made an incredible recovery, gaining 15 positions.

The battle for third place was intense, between Dennis Marschall (#74) and the #92 Porsche. Dennis Marschall edged ahead by just three-tenths of a second, securing a close finish and third place*. Daniel Serra took the race victory for Kessel Racing and Car Guy, clinching the win and marking the 100th global race victory for the Ferrari 296 GT3.

After the high from Saturday and coming off a strong team performance, the #57 Car Guy Ferrari suffered an early retirement after a collision with a competitor. Kessel Racing stayed focused on the #74, which had a challenging start and ended up finishing the second race of the Asian Le Mans Series in 12th position, after the race was red-flagged due to heavy rain.

*The #74 was given a penalty after the race and dropped down to sixth position.
