After having competed in the Swiss and German championship in the past three years, Swiss supermoto riders Marcel Götz and Harry Näpflin take a big step forward in 2012, as they are preparing themselves for a full race season in the S1 World Championship. Next to this, the two riders will also keep competing in the Swiss Supermoto Championship.
It’s not the first time for Marcel Götz to race the World Championship and he looks forward to the new season: “It’s a great challenge and pleasure to compete against the world’s best riders. On the technical side we’re already on a very high level with our Kawasaki KX450F. A new experience will be the tires, but this is the same for all teams and riders.”
Götz’ target is always to finish in the top 10 and with a bit of luck to reach the top 5.
The second rider Harry Näpflin, will make his debut in the S1 World Championship. After several years in the MX World Championship and having competed in four MX of Nations, he’s pleased to enter the S1 World Championship. The decision to attend the S1 World Championship in 2012 was taken together with their main sponsors Diener AG, Precision Machining and Emi l Weber Motos.
