In Supermoto

TRISCINA (Italy) 14 September, 2013 – After one year of absence Castelvetrano Kartodrome enjoyed  the comeback of the FIM Supermoto World Championship where Mauno Hermunen and Devon Vermeulen dominated the time practice of the sixth round of the season with great authority. It is the second to last Grand Prix of the season and – after a long two months summer break – the riders of both classes have already shown their determination from the Saturday qualifying session.

S1

TM Shr Mauno Hermunen  got his third pole of the season with the best lap of 1:12.048. The Finnish rider had a good start, then he obtained the best time even if Chareyre brothers have tried to reach the first place for the tomorrow row. Hermunen has never found himself very comfortable with this type of track so reaching the today pole is another demonstration of his personal growth and of his determination in winning the World Championship Title this year.

APRILIA Fasth Wheels Adrien Chareyre – even finding this technical circuit hard – was able to reach the best second time; the four times Supermoto World Champion feels in shape and his tomorrow goal is to win his first Grand Prix of the season.

Third in the tomorrow row, TM Racing Factory Team Thomas Chareyre will try to reconfirm his 2011 Sicilian GP victory.

A great performance for SUZUKY Brt Andrea Occhini who – during the final qualifying part – was able to find the right setting and will close the first row for tomorrow morning. The Italian rider has always demonstrated that this track – where he got the podium three years ago –   fits him.

The second row will be opened by the HM L30 Racing Italian Champion Ivan Lazzarini, who feels very comfortable with this  not so fast track and he also feels very positive for the tomorrow race.

TM Racing Factory Team Thierry Van Den Bosch was able to reach the sixth place during the final stages and he surely will fight for his first podium of the season, as he did in the first edition of 2010 Sicilian GP, where he reached the second place.

Following him, there is another French HONDA Luc1 Owatrol Sylvan Bydart, who experienced this track for the first time and he will try to improve his position tomorrow. The second row is closed by TM Shr Petr Vorlicek, who came back after collarbone surgery.

Third row for HONDA HM Racing Christian Ravaglia who had some difficulties with the asphalt part, followed by the Bulgarian Angel Karanyotov, happy with his top ten position.
