FINAL APPOINTMENT FOR THE FIM SUPERMOTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN RIVESALTES

Rivesaltes (France) 18 September, 2013 – There is no rest for the FIM Supermoto World Championship that after the great sicilian races of the last week-end is travelling to France to celebrate the seventh and last Grand Prix of the season in the circuit du Grand Roussilon. Rivesaltes, 66 km far from Perpignan, will be for the first time the venue for the France SMGP, the race track is very technical and the off-road part completely renovated, ready to host in the best way possible the most important appointment of the season where the Champion of the World and European Supermoto Championship will be crowned.

S1

SHR TM Mauno Hermunen is still at the top of the standings with a confortable advantage of 25 points ahead of Thomas Chareyre, the Finnish rider, who left Triscina with a second place is now ready to take his revenge from his last unlucky season and will do his best to ride safe, not to make mistakes and bring home his first Title.

Second in the Overall Standings TM Racing Factory Team Thomas Chareyre, the SM defending Champion who last season in France, Carole won his second SM Title. The French rider this season only won the Latina GP and this week-end, supported by his homemade crowd, he will have only one possibility to confirm his Title and win over Hermunen.

Third place for Fast Wheels APRILIA Adrien Chareyre, who left Sicily victorious, the strong French rider had a fantastic recovery from the start of the season and he is fully motivated to finish on the podium again on his country soil where in 2011 in Cahors he won his fourth SM Title.

L30 Racing HONDA Ivan Lazzarini is currently fourth in the Standings 23 points behind Adrien and his goal for this week-end is to got his second podium obtained in Czech Republic and to battle for the third overall position.
Closing the top five Luc1 Owatrol HONDA Sylvain Bydart , determined to give his best on his country soil and to get the rostrum like in Capua.

In sixth position the Italian Only Motor HONDA Christian Ravaglia who had a consistent season, followed only two points behind by his compatriot Brt SUZUKI Andrea Occhini, who made  his best performance last Sunday, Tds HONDA Uros Nastran moved up one position in the point standings of the Championship, follow him TM Shr Petr Vorlicek who come back in Sicily after his collarbone surgery and another Czech rider, TM Hardbike Racing Tomas Travnicek, completes the top ten.

French YAMAHA Team Blot Aurelien Grelier  who is eleventh in the S1 standings and TM Racing Factory Team Thierry Van Den Bosch, thirteenth, will also race on home turf this weekend.

ES2

The Supermoto European Championship has never been as much opened and battled as this season; six round and six different winners: Guerin in Capua, Vermeulen in Vairano, Mitchell-Thomas in Sosnovà, Salstola in Kuressaare, Borella in Latina and Kingelin in Triscina .

YAMAHA Extream Team Edgardo Borella is now first in the ES2 classification with 233 points after his last 3-2 victory last week-end and obviously his goal is get some important points to obtain the European Title.

Only four points behind there is KTM Mtr Team Devon Vermeulen who ha d a great race one in Sicily and has everything in favour to obtain his first European Title.

Only two points away from  the Dutch,  HONDA Kingelin Asseri who left Triscina victorious, followed by one points by SHR TM Malachi Mitchell-Thomas who was not able to reach the podium last Round and he is fully motivated to finish on the rostrum this week-end, followed by his team mate the Finnish Shr TM Sami Salstola  who closes the top five and has great hopes for the France Round.
