Pirelli onboard for MXGP 2015

FUNCHAL (Portugal) 4 February 2015 – Youthstream is proud to announce that one of the world’s best tyre manufacturers, Pirelli, has signed a new deal with Youthstream to continue being an official tyre supplier of the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Founded in 1872, Pirelli began diversifying its products well ahead of its time (producing insulated conductors for telegraph communications, submarine telegraph cables and a range of technical items), and investing in the promising automotive industry.

Pirelli is a leader in top-of-the-Range products with the highest technological content and ranks highly among the world’s major tyre companies. With more than 140 years of experience, Pirelli built its reputation by combining industrial tradition with technological innovation, and focusing on products characterised by high safety, quality, performance, reliability and respect for the environment.

As a sponsor of the FIM Motocross World Championship, Pirelli will have advertising panels around each circuit with extra visibility at MXGP of Thailand and the Monster Energy MXGP of USA. Along with the worldwide exposure the brand will be receiving thanks to MXGP’s extensive television coverage, Pirelli will also have a place in the paddock of MXGP where they will be providing a full race service, changing tyres, tubes etc., for a number of teams.

Giorgio Barbier, Pirelli’s Business Unit Moto Racing Director, said: “Pirelli is proud to continue being an official tyre supplier of the FIM Motocross World Championship. It is a partnership that has lasted successfully up to now thanks to the constant commitment and well-finished service of our racing service that goes to the track every weekend to support the teams and the riders. The quality of our SCORPION MX 32™ tyres is appreciated not only by the riders but by many motorcyclists all over the world who, thanks to the participation of Pirelli in this championship, have been able to rely on everyday more high performing products.”
