FUNCHAL (Portugal), 28 November 2014 – Last weekend at the 2014 FIM Gala, which took place in the Spanish city of Jerez, the two riders generating the most attention for the up-coming season, Antonio Cairoli and Ryan Villopoto, were able to enjoy each others company in the calm before the storm. Both Cairoli and Villopoto were present at the FIM Gala to collect their awards, Cairoli as the 2014 FIM MXGP World Champion and Villopoto as the 2014 FIM Supercross World Champion. While seeing the duo so relaxed was great, the buzz surrounding them and the championship suggests watching them go head to head in an entire season of motocross is bound to be greater.
Without a doubt MXGP 2015 is the moment every motocross enthusiast has been waiting for. Never in the history of the FIM Motocross World Championship has the depth of talent been as deep as what it will be next year. With the arrival of the multi-time American motocross and supercross champion, Ryan Villopoto, and of course the names already familiar to MXGP, our eight-time FIM Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli, Jeremy Van Horebeek, Kevin Strijbos, Clement Desalle, Gautier Paulin, and Max Nagl, only to name a few and not to mention the MXGP rookies out to make their grand debuts, Romain Febvre, Glenn Coldenhoff and Jose Butron, the battle in the premier class for the 2015 MXGP crown is predicted to be nothing short of exceptional.
At the FIM Gala our very own Marionna Leiva took the opportunity to catch up with Antonio Cairoli andRyan Villopoto, see what they have to say by clicking the links below:
