Thitipong Warokorn was able to make progress on the second day of the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano today, thanks largely to the fact that his physical condition has improved after he struggled to cope with the pain of his leg injury yesterday. The Thai rider’s improved strength allowed him to build his confidence on the bike and with a little more front-end feel tomorrow he should be able to improve further in the race.
Thitipong Warokorn (29th 1’ 40” 222) “I am happy because I feel stronger today and I was able to ride the bike with more conviction. I am still lacking a bit of confidence with the front end and can’t hold my lines through the corners as I would like but I am sure that in the race tomorrow we can make up some positions.”
Fausto Gresini “I was a little worried about Warokorn’s condition yesterday so I am happy to see him in better shape today. It has allowed him to make the progress he needed to make at this stage and I am sure he can do even better in the race tomorrow.”
