BELLPUIG (SPAIN), 15 May 2010 – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Steffi Laier dominated all the series of day one in the Spanish round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship obtaining the pole position as well as the victory of the first race. Livia Lancelot was second and Larissa Papenmeier was third in d heat.

Steffi Laier was able to choose the best slot in the starting line as she was the fastest rider in the Time Practice session with three seconds over the second classified, HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK’s Natalie Kane. The German also got the holeshot of the first race and managed to dominate it from beginning to end, finishing 12 seconds before her pursuer KTM HDI MX’s Team Livia Lancelot.

Throughout the whole race there has been a tough fight for the second and third position, which has not been decided until the last lap, where Lancelot managed to pass Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2’s Larissa Papenmeier, who had kept the second place during the last six laps.
