FUNCHAL (PORTUGAL), 7 April 2010 – Riders of the FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX2 European Championship will continue with the competition in Castelnau de Levis, France this weekend. Also riders of the UEM EMX150 European Championship will take part at the French event. This weekend Castelnau de Levis will return in the MX3 World Championship calendar. They already had successful events in the past. After a short break and some improvements, the French organizer is ready to prove their work again. In the first event riders gave us a bit of feeling who is well prepared for the season and who can be strong in the future. First MX3 winner Carlos Campano will not participate in France, what means that two Husqvarna riders will be main candidates for the top. Italian Alex Salvini (Husqvarna Cross 2 R) made two very conclusive races and is absolutely the strongest MX3 rider at the moment. Slovenian Matevz Irt (Husqvarna Tecno B) could take a new good result in France. Home rider Mickael Pichon decided to participate at the event in Castelnau de Levis and he will be a magnet for spectators after his comeback in the Motocross World Championship. All riders who took the top positions in the UEM EMX2 European Championship in Portugal will compete in Francethis weekend. Kenny Vandueren from Belgium climbed to his first EMX2 win and after this success young Belgian is very motivated. Jernej Irt from Slovenia (Husqvarna Cross 2 R) is also well prepared. German rider Lars Oldekamp, who finished third in the opening event wants to make a step further in France. There will be a big fight in this category because many riders who did not take the podium in Portugal are fast and want to make progress in the second event. The UEM EMX150 European Championship is new championship and riders of this category will compete in Francefor the first time. Young riders for sure will bring some freshness in the racing day with their debut. LINKS |
