BELLPUIG (SPAIN), 16 May 2010 – Steffi Laier left Spain with a perfect weekend for her, getting the pole and winning the two races. Second was Livia Lancelot and third Larissa Papenmeier at her first season’s podium.
The second race of the Catalan round started with Papenmeier’s holeshot, who managed to be at the top four positions during the whole race. KTM HDI MX Team’s Lancelot got the lead in the first lap but a majestic pass by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Laier on the last turn of the second lap, placed the French rider down to the second position. 
After Laier got the lead, she commanded the race until the chequered flag, achieving the overall victory with two wins and keeping her first position in the championship 25 points ahead the French rider, Livia Lancelot. Third of the championship is Maria Franke, who could not make it to the podium this weekend, in spite of fighting hard to pass her opponents.
Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2’s Papenmeier succeeded being on podium for the first time this season, finishing third in both races. She is now fifth of the championship, three points behind the British rider Natalie Kane, who got a fourth overall in the Catalan round.
