WSK FINAL CUP 2014: 2 vittorie e un terzo posto per Baby Race, il week end di Adria è da sogno.

Marzo Moretti: Terzo tempo assoluto nelle qualifiche del venerdì, la velocità era evidente a tutti. Poi più bassi che alti e in finale termina 11esimo. Tirando le somme si prospetta un bel futuro per questo pilota.

Nicola Abrusci: nella classifica intermedia, dopo le manche, era 20esimo. Aver finito in finale nono vuol dire che, probabilmente, poteva anche salire di più. I week end, però, si sa: sono fatti anche di episodi.

Dmitrii Bogdanov: Vince lottando con tutta la qualità in suo possesso. Riesce a recuperare ogni volta venisse attaccato. Un trionfo meritatissimo.

Dan Skocdopole: poteva benissimo entrare nella top ten visto il comportamento all’interno del week end. In finale, viene travolto dalla “lotta”, e chiude 28esimo.

Ruben Moya Lopez: Una finale disputata veramente al meglio. Quella dello spagnolo è, infatti, la miglior rimonta in pista. Partiva 17esimo e, con una serie di sorpassi caparbi, riesce a chiudere in ottava posizione.

Luca Giardelli: Entra in finale riuscendo ad arrivare secondo nella manche dei ripescaggi.  Nella gara decisiva prende 3 secondi di penalizzazione che lo retrocedono in 25esima posizione finale.

Leonardo Lorandi: Per come si erano messe le cose l’arrivo sul podio è un risultato ottimo. I continui sorpassi della concorrenza per un attimo sembravano una minaccia. Alla fine, con mestiere, è terzo.

Peter Presley Martono: una vittoria che è partita da lontano. Dopo le qualifiche era 14esimo. Poi con le heat cresce tantissimo e finisce nella graduatoria intermedia addirittura secondo. In prefinale parte dalla seconda fila, nella gara che conta è il più veloce di tutti e si piazza in testa. Stravince con oltre sei secondi di vantaggio sul secondo.

Giuliano Alesi: arriva in finale, ma purtroppo non riesce a completare neanche il primo giro. La bagarre in questa gara era notevole, le distrazioni sono infatti risultate letali.

Kami Laliberte Moreira: manca un po’ di incisività e, purtroppo, non riesce ad accedere alla finale. È il 36esimo dei 34 che passano. Doveva essere più lesto in alcuni passaggi delle manche, purtroppo non lo è stato.

Gasper Michevc: il pilota slovacco entrai in punta di piedi nel karting internazionale, manca l’accesso alla finale. Il suo week end gli ha permesso di capire alcuni aspetti fondamentali su come approcciarsi in questa tipologia di gare. Insomma, non è da buttare.

Alessio Lorandi: La velocità del pilota c’era, eccome. Basterebbe vedere la bellissima rimonta in prefinale dove chiude quinto dopo essere partito in decima piazza o il settimo tempo assoluto che aveva ottenuto nelle qualifiche del venerdì. In finale per un attimo è anche in zona podio. Poi purtroppo la sfortuna lo metti fuori dai giochi.

Marco Cenedese:  Chiude 21esimo. Per lui che è esordiente in un contesto così internazionale è stata sicuramente un’ottima palestra.

2014WSK FINAL CUP: 2 victories and a third place for Baby Race, Adria was a dream weekend.

MINI

Marzo Moretti: Third overall fastest in the qualifyings – that he was fast was clear from the get-go. Then he had more lows than highs, but in the final he placed 11^th. Overall, the future is looking bright.

Nicola Abrusci: 20^th in the intermediate standings after the heats and 9^th in the ultimate final. This means he could have probably done better, but – as we all know – weekends are also made of unexpected twists.

Dmitrii Bogdanov: He wins fighting with everything he has in store. Any time he gets attacked, he rises back up. His triumph is absolutely well-deserved.

Dan Skocdopole: He could have well made the Top 10, considering how he raced throughout the weekend. Unfortunately, in the final he got lost in the “brawl” and closed 28^th.

Ruben Moya Lopez: He does a top performance in the final, accomplishing the greatest climb of the race. He starts from P17 on grid and, one incredible pass after the other, rises all the way to 8^th.

Luca Giardelli: He conquers his right to the final race by closing second in the repechage heat.  In the main race he gets a 3 second penalty that pushes him down to 25^th in the final standings.

Leonardo Lorandi: Considering how the weekend went overall, a podium finish is an excellent result. At one point it seemed he might succumb to the constant overtakes, but in the end his experience allows him to close 3^rd.

Peter Presley Martono: A victory that comes from afar. After the qualifyings he was 14th. Then in the heats he does an amazing climb up all the way to second place, which means that he starts his prefinal from row two. Then in the race that counts he grabs the lead and pulls away. He wins with a six second advantage over the runner up.

Giuliano Alesi: He makes it to the final, but here is out before the end of lap one. The brawl was intense and his distraction proved to be lethal.

Kami Laliberte Moreira: He was a bit too soft and was cut off the list of finalists by just two spots. He should have placed some quicker moves in the heats, unfortunately he didn’t.

Gasper Michevc: The driver from Slovakia tiptoes onto the international stage and fails to make the final. Over the weekend he learned some key lessons for racing in contexts of this caliber. He has good chances.

Alessio Lorandi: He had speed, indeed – just consider the fantastic rebound in the prefinal from tenth to fifth, or his seventh overall best time in Friday’s qualifyings. In the final he even enters the podium zone, too bad that bad luck strikes and spells game over for him.

Marco Cenedese:  He ends the weekend in 21st place. For a rookie facing a top-notch  international context, the weekend was definitely a great experience.
