VISTA AF CORSE – FIA WEC – ROUND 2 IMOLA
⁃ After a promising start of the season in Qatar, Vista AF Corse team is back in action for Round 2 of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Imola this weekend.
⁃ The Swiss-Italian team will field two Ferrari 296 GT3s in the LMGT3 class. Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Official Ferrari Driver Davide Rigon will line up on car #54, while François Heriau, Simon Mann and Official Ferrari Driver Alessio Rovera will join them on the 296 GT3 #55.
⁃ In Imola Vista AF Corse team will face a tough challenge. The 6-hour-long race will push the cars and drivers to the limit on the narrow and technical Italian circuit, renown all over the world for its legendary corners.
⁃ The weekend will officially start on Thursday 18 April, with the presentation of the event in Imola’s city center. Friday will see the start of track activities with the first two free practice sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. Saturday morning will see the last free practice session of one hour, while in the afternoon the qualifying and the Hyperpole – the new feature introduced by FIA WEC in 2024 – will take place, with the 10 fastest cars of the qualifying session competing for the first five rows of the grid. The race will then start at 1pm on Sunday with no less than 37 cars present (19 Hypercars and 18 LMGT3s).
⁃ Dopo un promettente inizio di stagione in Qatar, il team Vista AF Corse è pronto a tornare in azione per il secondo round del FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) a Imola questo fine settimana.
⁃ Il team italo-svizzero schiererà due Ferrari 296 GT3 nella classe LMGT3. Sulla vettura #54 saranno al via Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci e il pilota ufficiale Ferrari Davide Rigon, mentre sulla 296 GT3 #55 si uniranno a loro François Heriau, Simon Mann e il pilota ufficiale Ferrari Alessio Rovera.
⁃ A Imola il team Vista AF Corse affronterà una dura sfida. La gara, della durata di 6 ore, spingerà vetture e piloti al limite sullo stretto e tecnico circuito italiano, rinomato in tutto il mondo per le sue curve leggendarie.
⁃ Il weekend inizierà ufficialmente giovedì 18 aprile, con la presentazione dell’evento nel centro di Imola. Venerdì prenderanno il via le attività in pista con le prime due sessioni di prove libere, ciascuna della durata di 90 minuti. Sabato mattina si svolgerà l’ultima sessione di prove libere di un’ora, mentre nel pomeriggio si sarà il turno delle qualifiche e dell’Hyperpole, la novità introdotta dal FIA WEC nel 2024, con le 10 vetture più veloci della sessione di qualificazione che si sfideranno per la pole position. La gara inizierà alle 13 di domenica con 37 vetture ai nastri di partenza (di cui 19 Hypercar e 18 LMGT3).
