A Roaring 20th
For all sports lovers, we know, in the world of sailing, the 40th Roar and the 50th Howler and well now it will be necessary to add the 20th edition Vrombissante of the Tour de Corse Historique.
From Porto-Vecchio to Porto-Vecchio the beautiful old ones will return to the mythical roads from 5 to 10 October for this twentieth anniversary, in the heart of a very special year, one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful historical event of the car planet.
Under the sign of 20
20 years the beautiful age that of carefree and the joy of living, but for the Tour de Corse Historique it is, henceforth, that of maturity and professionalization. Over the years this rally has grown, has experienced many adventures to take the path of balance. This international rally has in store for us for this 20th anniversary a version on the roads of the legend, of these stories, big and small that made the fame of the race.
Twenty special stages for this year 2020, coincidental of the calendar, which has therefore been in tune, are scheduled with the passage, on Thursday, October 8, in the Castagniccia, on the side of La Porta which is part of the DNA of the rally. Dreaded and awaited Castagniccia, land of history and culture, where ambitions and hopes can, depending on the fate, be confirmed or well flown away.
The 20th Tour de Corse Historique brings back its past with the gatherings in Aleria, Francardo, Cargese and Porto-Pollo, not to mention the park closed on Wednesday, October 7 on the Place Saint-Nicolas in Bastia, a major place of motor sport. These are some of the rendezvous of this 20th Tour of Historic Corsica including the lowering of the flag in Porto-Vecchio on Monday, October 5, on the occasion of a festive day, where old cars will be the queens of this opening day.
It is not surprising, therefore, that the number of entrants is up compared to previous editions, but it is true that we have only once 20 .
José Andreani – The president of the organization : “We have taken the steps”
Of course, while waiting for the official list of participants to be published, the Master of Ceremonies, José Andreani, expressed great satisfaction: ‘It is never easy for an event to reach the high level, but it is even more complicated to stay there because every year you have to reinvent yourself to offer a dream to the competitors. This is something primordial.
The magic of the Tour de Corse Historique operates because there is this desire to never fall asleep on our laurels. We have learned the lessons of our history and for this twentieth edition we want to reconnect, even more, with the DNA of this rally and be even closer to our public because the Tour de Corse is, above all, this communion between the test and its audience.”
