The great performance realized by the debutants Carles Palou and Miguel Ángel Ibáñez to the steering wheel of the Ford Escort Mk2 BDG, has led them to heading a championship that presents more competed and disputed that never.

The second round of the calendar of the Spanish Cup of Historic Cars was joining to the aspirants’ totality to the title in the city of Talavera de la Reina, to dispute the first edition of the rally. For Carles Palou and Miguel Ángel Ibáñez it hasn’t been an easy rally. The ignorance of the area, joined with the loss of time in the first specials of the race, has forced the team to realize a race always to attack. This tenacity has given his fruits obtaining as rewards the second position of the general and the first between the drivers that count in the national contest… “It has been a very intense round. We have yielded little time in the first section and it has forced us, from this moment, to go out to the attack, but at the same time we have had to watch very much since the sections were very re-veered with an asphalt very bumpy and ditches where if you were putting the wheel too much was very easy to leave the suspension. Thankfully it has gone very well for us, and even in the final part we have preferred assuring the points with a view to the championship and going out of Talavera as leaders. We are very satisfied with the performances of the car and of the whole team “.
